The Messy Middle Nobody Talks About: The Season of Letting Go and Becoming.

There is a season nobody prepares you for.
The season where you have outgrown the old version of yourself, but you haven’t fully stepped into the new one yet.
The season where you’re doing the healing, setting the boundaries, making the changes, and choosing yourself… but it still feels uncomfortable.
Welcome to the messy middle.
The messy middle is the space between who you were and who you’re becoming.
It’s where you question everything.
It’s where you grieve old versions of yourself.
It’s where you release things you once prayed for because you realize they no longer align with who you are becoming.
And honestly?
It can feel lonely.
The Messy Middle Can Feel Like Failure
Sometimes we mistake discomfort for failure.
We think because things aren’t perfectly together, we must be doing something wrong.
But growth is rarely a straight line.
A flower doesn’t bloom overnight.
A butterfly doesn’t transform without a season of change.
Becoming requires patience.
The messy middle is where the foundation is built.
You Have To Grieve Who You Used To Be
One of the hardest parts of growth is accepting that you cannot become your next self while holding onto everything that belonged to your old self.
Sometimes you have to grieve:
The version of you that accepted less.
The version of you that stayed quiet to keep peace.
The version of you that survived by putting everyone else first.
That version of you deserves compassion.
She got you here.
But she doesn’t have to carry you into your next chapter.
Growth Doesn't Always Look Beautiful
We love celebrating the glow up.
The finished product.
The answered prayers.
The success story.
But nobody talks enough about the in-between.
The moments where you’re rebuilding your confidence.
The days where you’re trying again.
The moments where you choose yourself even when it feels unfamiliar.
That is growth too.
Give Yourself Permission To Be In Process
You do not have to have everything figured out to be worthy.
You do not have to be healed completely to deserve love.
You do not have to become someone else to be enough.
You are worthy in the becoming.
The messy middle is not proof that you are behind.
It’s proof that you are moving.
So give yourself grace.
Keep showing up.
Keep choosing yourself.
One day you’ll look back and realize the season that felt like everything falling apart was actually the season where everything started coming together.
Welcome to your journey.
You are becoming her. 🤍
